The Saga of the Righteous Struggle: A Nation’s Stand for Truth

By Unzila Siddiqui

History often proves that when arrogance drives a state’s narrative, the truth is the first casualty. In the aftermath of the Falgham incident, we witnessed a display of political theater that was as swift as it was baseless. Within a mere ten minutes—before any investigation could have reasonably begun—the Modi government filed an FIR against Pakistan. It was a calculated move, using a tragic event as a pawn in a larger, more dangerous game.

But as the dust settled, the narrative began to crumble from within. Even in Jammu and Kashmir, and across various circles in the Indian media, the public began to ask the questions that the authorities were desperate to avoid. Where were the security forces at the hour of the attack? Why were the CCTV cameras conveniently inactive? And how did the attackers manage to escape from a high-security zone without a trace? The lack of answers spoke louder than the accusations themselves.

As the Indian government doubled down on its tough stance, regional tensions spiked. Amidst the fog of “Operation Sandur”—conducted in the silence of the night—and a flood of conflicting reports on Indian news channels, the atmosphere grew heavy with the threat of escalation.

It was in this moment of heightened risk that the Pakistan Armed Forces took a definitive stand. Their message was simple: sovereignty is non-negotiable.

This resolve gave birth to Operation Bunyan al-Marsus. The name is profoundly symbolic, translating to “The Leaden Wall.” It describes a force so united, so tightly knit, that no gap exists for an enemy to exploit. But the true “Leaden Wall” wasn’t just the military hardware; it was the people of Pakistan.

In an extraordinary display of national character, the entire nation stood shoulder-to-shoulder with its defenders. This wasn’t just a military operation; it was a revival of the national spirit. Our forces met the crisis with courage, wisdom, and an unwavering perseverance that eventually paved the way for de-escalation and a tentative return to peace.

The lesson of this episode remains etched in our history: the real power of a nation is not found in aggressive rhetoric, but in the unity, tolerance, and cohesion of its people. When a nation stands as a single, undivided force, it becomes invincible.
